Environment Lethbridge was founded in 2012 by a group of concerned citizens and business owners who wanted to see Lethbridge take action to become more environmentally sustainable.
Our mission is to inspire and equip people to create widespread community action and engagement towards sustainability.
Our current priorities are waste reduction, climate reslience, and green energy. We have identified four goals to guide our work.
• Community Collaboration: Environment Lethbridge creates and facilitates opportunities for individuals, organizations, and businesses to collaborate on sustainability.
• Learning and Action: Environment Lethbridge inspires residents and businesses to learn and take action to increase the environmental sustainability of their homes and businesses.
• Engagement with Local Government: Environment Lethbridge is a proactive voice for sustainability that informs and encourages the City of Lethbridge to adopts policies that support and promote environmental sustainability.
• Operational Stability: Environment Lethbridge is an effective and efficient organization that achieves long-term stability.
