Environment Lethbridge is governed by an Executive Committee comprised of representatives from Community Partners and the community. The Executive Committee is responsible for the administrative functions of governance as well as defining strategic roles along with the Community Partners.

Kathleen Sheppard joined Environment Lethbridge as Executive Director in November of 2015. Originally from southern Alberta, Kathleen has more than 25 years experience working for non-profit organizations in BC and Alberta. Prior to coming to Environment Lethbridge, she was the Executive Director for Social Planning Cowichan, located in Duncan, BC. Her previous experience includes work in land conservation, wildlife rescue, wilderness protection and environmental sustainability.
Environmental Programs Manager
Courtnay Sopko grew up in Fernie, British Columbia, surrounded by mountains and wilderness. This inspired her passion for protecting the environment. She is a strong supporter of sustainability at the local and global level. Courtnay moved to Lethbridge to attend the University of Lethbridge where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts. Prior to joining Environment Lethbridge, she has worked in volunteer coordination, event planning, environmental advocacy, research and education.
