COUNCIL APPROVES 3 YEAR FEE FOR SERVICE AGREEMENT WITH ENVIRONMENT LETHBRIDGE
At their May 25, 2015 meeting Lethbridge City Council voted 8-1 to approve a new three-year, Fee-For-Service Agreement with the group Environment Lethbridge to enhance community outreach as well as environmental education and programming for the City. The agreement provides declining funding of $120,000 in Year 1, $100,000 in Year 2 and $80,000 in the final year with the understanding that Environment Lethbridge will pursue alternative funding sources for subsequent years. The agreement is funded from the City’s existing budget, using carryover funds from City Council’s Environment Committee.
Environment Lethbridge looks forward to getting down to work immediately on the many facets of its brand new Strategic Plan.
