Environment Lethbridge is working to make Lethbridge a living city. Explore our projects below.

Pollinator Cafes

Pollinator Cafés, planters filled with pollinator-friendly plants, were launched in downtown Lethbridge by the Helen Schuler Nature Centre and the City of Lethbridge Parks Department in 2022. In 2023, Environment Lethbridge expanded the program to new locations outside of the downtown core.

Floating Islands

In 2024, Environment Lethbridge partnered with City of Lethbridge Parks to install floating islands in Canyoncrest Park.

Fleetwood-Bawden School

The NW garden in the Fleetwood-Bawden Elementary School playground has been updated with new, drought-tolerant shrubs and perennials! See how a partnership between the school, the Helen Schuler Nature Centre, and Environment Lethbridge has increased the resiliency of the space.

Winston Churchill Community Garden

Teachers from Winston Churchill High School partnered with Environment Lethbridge to create drought-tolerant edge beds to enhance pollinator activity, add more food forest, and help cool the south classrooms with shade.

Tartan Park

This project was truly a community partnership, from inception to planting. See the details of a diverse, drought-tolerant, native garden installation in the West Highlands community of Tartan Park.
