Help us paint the town yellow!
Yellow Fish Road is a national program from Freshwater Conservation Canada to highlight the ways we can all keep our stormwater clean. Painting a yellow fish reminds everyone that storm drains are for rain water only.
How it works:
- Sign up for a painting kit. Everyone can participate, including families, community and youth groups, and school classes.
- Choose your storm drains. Storm drains are located on nearly every street in Lethbridge. This map can help you locate the drains that are near you.
- Paint your yellow fish. Be safe and follow the instructions in your painting kit.
- Tell your neighbours. Distribute the yellow fish door hangers to nearby houses to let your neighbours know about clean stormwater.
- Report back. Fill out the tracking form about the number of drains you painted and return your painting kit.
Yellow Fish Road is also part of the Verdant Quest! By painting a yellow fish, you can earn your Shorekeeper Badge.
